Kia Chambers is a civic leader and community advocate dedicated to strengthening communities through leadership, education, and public service. As a member of the Columbus Board of REALTORS® (CBOR), she is passionate about helping people feel connected to the communities they call home and highlighting the stories, culture, and local voices that make Georgia unique.
Kia has held numerous leadership roles throughout the Columbus community, including serving as District 3 Representative for the Georgia School Boards Association and currently serving as the At-Large Representative on the Muscogee County School District Board of Education. She also serves as a trustee for Historic Columbus and a board member for the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to her civic leadership, Kia has been heavily involved in service organizations. She is a Past President of both the Columbus Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the North Columbus Rotary Club. She is also a graduate of Leadership Columbus as well as Leadership Georgia.
Kia is the founder of several community-focused initiatives, including the Women’s Empowerment & Self-Care Brunch, the Kia for Kids Scholarship Program, and the Gold Star Teacher Appreciation Initiative. Through her volunteer work and fundraising efforts, she contributes approximately 1,200 hours of service annually and has helped raise roughly $50,000 for community initiatives.
Her leadership and service have earned numerous honors, including the Whitney M. Young Service Award, Good Neighbor Community Service Award, Urban League Young Professionals Lighting the Torch Award, and multiple community leadership and education recognitions.
